Welcome! My name is H. Reginald Joseph and I am an licensed mediator and attorney based in Los Angeles, California. As a certified mediator, I assist individuals, groups and businesses who are involved in legal disputes negotiate ways to resolve their conflicts either in person (mediation) or over the telephone (conciliation) as an alternative the high costs and lengthy nature of litigating in court. Under my guidance, parties can reach affordable solutions that meet their individual or business needs and satisfy their mutual legal concerns.
Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process which gives disputing parties the opportunity to settle their conflicts on their own terms in front of a neutral third party, the Mediator. The Mediator assists parties in identifying the central issues of their dispute, then facilitates negotiations between them on each issue and guides them to generate options in an effort to resolve their overall conflict and find a mutually agreeable solution. If a resolution is reached between the parties, the Mediator assisst them in writing an agreement which can be binding and enforceable.
Conciliation is identical to Mediation, except that instead of a face-to-face meeting, the Mediator facilitates communication between the parties through individual telephone calls, or by joint telephone conference.
